Dear Savage drivers,
When I was planning to buy Suzuki Savage I was wondering what is the white spacer in carburetor what was discussed in forum.
Now I have finally Savage and like it a lot. I changed the exhaust for some slash-cut universal pipe but I think it is not deep enough, the sound. Maybe because it is quite thin and short (7,5cmx50cm). It is still loud but I expected it to be more deep. Maybe Laser is deeper?
I checked this white spacer. To take it away is same as make needle upper, carburetor more rich. I don't find out why to do it. I still tried but it didn't give more power and why should it. If you change carburettor settings too rich it will carbon the spark plug and exhaust and increase fuel consuption! Also I didn't see any difference with backfireing!
And air screw is only for setting iddle mixture.
ONE QUESTION! My savage gives one shot nearly always when I change the gear. And even iddle speed is quite high then engine stops often when changing.
Best regards
Teukka
